Dr. Cabrera’s exposure to communicable diseases and illness complication in the setting of limited resources in the Philippines inspired her to pursue further medical education in the U.S. After completing her internal medicine residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, she obtained a fellowship in infectious disease at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina.
Dr. Cabrera and her husband moved to the Pacific Northwest to be near family and to enjoy the great diversity and natural beauty of the region. She enjoys exploring restaurants and visiting wineries, beaches and nature trails with her young family.
